Fast gigabit internet is cheap and everywhere (5G or mesh wifi) Dev machines (laptops, tablets, VR) are cheap and have multiday battery life. Your apps build in a second regardless of scale.

I set up a remote workstation, tunneled it to my house, and that's when the real fun began. In about a week I was able to write, debug, and perfect a simple script that performed my entire job.
