AMD's RDNA 4m (GFX11.7 / GFX1170) graphics IP is getting Mesa driver support via six pending merge request patches for both the RADV Vulkan driver and RadeonSI Gallium3D (OpenGL) driver. The GFX1170 sits between RDNA 3 and RDNA 4 architecturally, sharing the RDNA 3 IP version numbering but with ISA changes aligned toward RDNA 4. The ~3,000 lines of new code cover common AMD code changes, driver-specific updates, and a GFX11.7 ADDRLIB implementation. The patches are under review ahead of Mesa 26.1, though the specific AMD product using this APU graphics IP has not yet been announced.
