Minecraft's upcoming 26.2 update (Chaos Cubed) introduces two new snapshots featuring the Sulfur Cube mob, a passive creature that absorbs blocks and changes its physics behavior based on nine archetypes (bouncy, sticky, sliding, etc.). New block sets include sulfur and cinnabar with polished, brick, and chiseled variants, plus potent sulfur that generates nauseating gas clouds in water. A new underground biome, sulfur caves, generates with sulfur and cinnabar bands, sulfur pools, turquoise water, and spawns cave spiders alongside sulfur cubes. The update also marks the first Minecraft version to support the Vulkan graphics API alongside OpenGL, with a new Graphics API option in settings. Additional fixes address dolphin drowning, dragon death animation, spectator mode teleport, and mob behavior bugs.
