Godot 4.7 is adding HDR output support across all major platforms. Windows support arrived in dev 1, Apple devices in dev 2, and Linux/BSD in dev 3. Key requirements include using the Forward+ or Mobile renderer, Direct3D12 on Windows, Vulkan on Linux/macOS, and Wayland (not X11) on Linux. Android support is still in progress. To enable HDR in a project, go to Project Settings > Display > Window and toggle 'Request HDR Output'. HDR also only works with filmic and ACES tone mapping modes. A demo project and official documentation are available to help developers test and author HDR content.
