RADV Driver Lands Another Optimization: "Missing In RADV For A Very Long Time"

A four-year-old optimization ticket for the RADV Vulkan driver has finally been implemented. Samuel Pitoiset from Valve's Linux graphics team ported the PA_SU_HARDWARE_SCREEN_OFFSET register optimization (si_emit_guardband) from RadeonSI to RADV, improving clipping performance. The change has been merged into Mesa 26.1. The PA_SU_HARDWARE_SCREEN_OFFSET register has existed on AMD GPUs for over 16 years, and no specific performance numbers were shared alongside the merge.
