Qualcomm is upstreaming GPU and display support for the Snapdragon X2 Elite's Adreno X2-85 GPU in Linux 6.19. The MSM DRM driver changes include support for this 8th Gen GPU design, with Mesa patches pending for Freedreno (OpenGL) driver support. Initial testing shows over 99.9% pass rate on OpenGL ES 3.1 tests, with desktop UI and games working. The pull request also adds Adreno 840 support for Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Adreno 612 GPU support, and DisplayPort improvements.
