NVIDIA has released the 595.44.02 Vulkan developer beta driver for Linux and Windows, branched from the R595 series. Key additions include descriptorHeapCaptureReplay support (useful for Vulkan capture replay tools), image compression for multi-planar YCbCr formats, DMA-BUF export with DRM format modifiers for YCbCr, performance improvements to VK_EXT_descriptor_heap, fixes for Vulkan Video AV1 encoding on Blackwell GPUs, and improved device lost behavior. This beta is separate from last week's 595.45.04 mainline beta and contains Vulkan features not yet merged into the mainline branch.
