Mesa 26.1-rc1 has been released, kicking off the weekly release candidate cycle ahead of the stable Mesa 26.1 release expected in May. This feature release brings a large number of new Vulkan driver extensions across RADV, NVK, ANV, Turnip, panvk, pvr, v3dv, and other drivers. Highlights include VK_EXT_present_timing across multiple drivers, VK_EXT_descriptor_heap on RADV (experimental), VK_VALVE_shader_mixed_float_dot_product on RADV for Vega20/Navi14/RDNA2+, numerous OpenCL subgroup extensions via Rusticl, low-latency encode/decode for RADV Vulkan Video, experimental Intel Nova Lake P support, and continued progress on KosmicKrisp for Vulkan-on-Metal. Performance optimizations are also included, particularly benefiting gaming on Intel and AMD hardware.
