Be less precious

All I get from this, is that the mentality being promoted pushes through the idea that work is above all and that it’s unthinkable not to work because of not feeling well mentally. This pushes, once again, the idea that mental health is less important than physical health. It’s OK if you have a fever not to show up at work, but it’s not OK if you’re unable to work because you are dealing with something that maybe shakes you up to your core and really can’t think straight. Even worse, suggesting to use PTO for that.

I somehow feel the essence of the book mentioned - “Radical candor” has been misunderstood a bit.
The core principle of Radical Candor, is advocating for leaders to show they care about their team members on a personal level, while also directly challenging them to improve and grow.
For developers, this means creating a culture where feedback is given in a way that shows understanding and respect for the individual, but is also clear and direct about areas for improvement.
It just means more direct and open communication.

It’s a side effect of this woke bullshit imao - I still keep communicating on point and ran into a few issues. Honestly speaking the ones complaining about being “less polite” are the ones who don’t perform. At least this is my current opinion - maybe my mind will change who knows ¯_(ツ)_/¯

‘Polite’ fits better.
