Certainly, every startup needs appropriate advertising. without it, no one will know about the existence of the startup. I recently learned that in the USA you don’t need to register yourself as a freelancer or as a company, you can just start having a company.
That’s different where I’m from. I worked for a few years as a freelancer, and before I had to register as one and do a specific type of taxes each year. But even as a freelancer, I can only offer services, I cannot, for example, sell a course on a website or offer a subscription to my website. Thst would require a different type of company I would need to register. And personally I don’t find it easy to understand all the bureaucracy.
To keep it short. Starting side hustles is not always as easy as described.
