Daily.dev has introduced a new Reading Streaks system to simplify the learning habit process. It tracks the user's current streak, longest streak, and total reading days. Unlike the previous Weekly Goal system, Reading Streaks allow users to continuously build on their accomplishments without the pressure of starting over each week. The system also includes a weekend freeze feature where the streak pauses over the weekend. Historical activities are retroactively counted towards the new streaks. Daily.dev plans to enhance the Reading Streaks system with features like leaderboards and badges based on user feedback.
