    HTTP/3 is Fast

    HTTP/3 is a new version of the HTTP protocol. It uses a new protocol called QUIC. QUIC is meant to address the head-of-line blocking issues with HTTP/2. The benchmarks show that the new protocol is much faster than the old one.

Every night before I go to bed, I take all the items on my calendar for the next day and append it to the end of the text file as a daily todo list. Here's an example with names replaced so you can see what it looks like when I move a day's schedule from my calendar.

I'm a man who once bought 300 emoji domain names from Kazakhstan, but the idea of building a website from a piece of paper seemed a bit strange.

    From Node to Ruby on Rails

    Rails is a Ruby-on-Rails framework that was developed by Paul Graham in 2005-2012. Graham is building a web app for a new side project using the framework. He says that learning to code in the current Javascript ecosystem makes discovering Rails a revelation. He also says that he can focus more on learning useful patterns to create with the framework vs. how to set it up.

    The Web3 Fraud

    Web3 is only about adding an additional layer of complexity in the name of justifying the underlying cryptocurrencies. The web browser is augmented with a cryptocurrency wallet and part of the computation and storage is shifted from my server to the decentralized cryptocurrency infrastructure. When a user wants to use my service they will pay some amount of cryptocurrency to perform the cryptocurrency-side computation.

    Ubisoft Deleted Account With Hundreds Of Dollars’ Worth Of Games For Inactivity

    The account in question had been inactive for more than a year when the owner decided to take a break from gaming. When he decided to get back into gaming in summer 2021, he found that he was unable to login to his Ubisoft account. He was able to reset his password but later discovered that the account itself had been closed and permanently deleted along with hundreds of dollars’ worth of games.
