Why Japanese web design is so different (2013)
Most Japanese websites look like they hail from around 1998. Theories for why this is are numerous and I’ve tried to expand on some of the most prevalent below. Japanese doesn’t have italics or capital letters which limits the opportunities for adding visual punch that you get with latin alphabets.

Why not use GraphQL?
This post is a response to "Why use GraphQL" by Kyle Schrade. The author states that REST APIs come with a set of downsides and how GraphQL solves all of them. The pattern described is named "backend for frontend" (BFF) It's not limited to full stack frameworks like Next.JS.
