Zscaler's server equipment was seized from South African data centres (NTT Data and Teraco) between September and November 2024 as part of a legal dispute with former distributor Accelerate Networks. Accelerate claims Zscaler breached their distributor agreement by selling directly to Absa via AWS, undercutting their bid on an $18M deal, and alleges defamation that led to losing NTT Data as a customer. Total damages claimed are R22 million. Multiple racks were seized by court sheriffs, though the impact on Zscaler's regional operations remains unclear.
