Zeno, an East African electric motorbike startup co-founded by Tesla and Apple alumni, has raised a $25M Series A led by Congruent Ventures. The round includes $20.5M in equity and $4.5M in debt. Zeno has built over 800 of its Emara motorbikes and established 150+ battery-swap stations across four East African countries. The Emara offers 100 km range, 250 kg payload capacity, and costs around $1,300 without a battery. With 25,000+ customers on a waitlist and production at 70-80 bikes per week, the new funding will scale manufacturing. Zeno also plans a battery dock product for home and business power, targeting East Africa's unreliable grid infrastructure.
