Zed's not dead

Zed code editor hit version 1.0 after five years of development. Built in Rust with a custom GPU-accelerated UI framework (GPUI) instead of Electron, Zed differentiates itself through performance, native AI agent support (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode via ACP), and a CRDT-based sync engine called DeltaDB for granular version control.
