I’ve used JetBrains IDEs for a long time and I really liked it. But now it’s almost impossible to use it without pain. Startup time, indexing time, performance,a lot of bugs it’s became into just horrible tool.
So I decided to try Zed (on Linux btw) and I was shocked how it feel fast, lightweight. Can’t say that it’s really stable now, it miss a lot of important features and vim mode is pretty raw, but anyway I moved away from GoLand and have been using Zed daily for a week now.

I’m excited to try it. Tired with vscode. The only thing keeps me using it is integrated terminal.

Honestly, knowing Zed is already in development on Linux makes me want to shift from Windows to Linux purely for dev work.
