Drawing on experience at Amazon and Ring, the author argues that manual safeguards create false security and drain productivity. The solution is to invest in robust CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, canary deployments, auto-rollbacks, feature flags, and AI-specific guardrails like standardized agent configurations and automated incident response.
