Brian Keller successfully ported Mac OS X 10.0 to the Nintendo Wii by leveraging the hardware similarities between the Wii's PowerPC 750-family processor and early PowerPC-based Macs. The project involved writing a custom bootloader, patching the Darwin kernel, and adapting the Wii's hardware to be accessible to the OS. It boots from an SD card using a framebuffer for display, demonstrating that Hackintoshes aren't limited to the x86 era.
