Brian Keller successfully ported Mac OS X 10.0 to the Nintendo Wii by leveraging the hardware similarities between the Wii's PowerPC 750-family processor and early PowerPC-based Macs. The project involved writing a custom bootloader, patching the Darwin kernel, and adapting the Wii's hardware to be accessible to the OS.
