People still belive Linux has no viruses, read some CVEs

There’s countless malware that run on Linux. The conception that attackers mostly target Windows is not the case anymore. Most professional grade malware developers are well aware of Linux based servers, especially since the AWS started EC2 free tiers. And they are being targeted all the time.
Plus we are at a point where people largely rely on web applications and services. And many web applications specially commonly used ones like CRMs (WordPress, Magento) are being brute-forced and used as malicious hosts for remote malware or spamming. In most of those use cases the underlying OS doesn’t even matter
