Yelp’s updated AI assistant can answer questions and book a restaurant or service in one conversation

Yelp has updated its AI assistant to let users ask questions and complete actions like booking restaurants, ordering food delivery, and scheduling service appointments all within a single conversation. The assistant is now featured prominently in the app's navigation and integrates with third-party providers including DoorDash, Grubhub, Vagaro, ZocDoc, and Repairpal. Currently, completing transactions redirects users to external apps rather than being fully agentic, though Yelp hints this may change. Additional updates include in-app dish photo viewing while scanning menus and natural language search for business media galleries.
