It is one of the many reasons there are distinct job descriptions and skill sets for “UX/UI designers” and “frontend engineers” out there.
Being able to translate UI to code (be it Figma, HTML or whatever) doesn’t makes you automatically a full fledged frontend engineer.

I was arguing with my colleagues a few months ago that frontend is becoming as hard if not harder than backend development. And in some extent I still think it’s not that far from the truth…

Nice one presenting it as all a means of system thinking. This is great interview fodder.

This! Front end also has many, MANY components that can easily end up being spaghetticode and without proper structure designing it can become a nightmare in big applications. Especially when you start making everything reactive. Front end grows and lives on it’s own.
