XNXX has been designated as a very large online platform (VLOP) by the European Union under the Digital Services Act (DSA) after surpassing 45 million regional average monthly users. This subjects XNXX to the strictest level of content regulation, requiring measures like age verification to prevent minors from accessing adult content, algorithmic accountability, and public data access for researchers. Non-compliance can result in fines of up to 6% of global annual turnover. The EU is overseeing these regulations centrally to ensure compliance.
