Xbox CCO Matt Booty revealed that first-party studios across Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard are collaborating closely with the hardware team on the next-gen Project Helix console. Studios are involved early in hardware planning and specs. Booty also highlighted cross-studio collaboration, such as Blizzard Cinematics assisting Playground Games on the Fable reboot and Rare supporting Double Fine on Kiln. Xbox VP Jason Ronald previously shared that Project Helix will require new rendering technology beyond traditional techniques, is backed by a multi-year AMD deal, and alpha units are expected in 2027.
