Fei-Fei Li's World Labs has secured a $200 million investment from Autodesk as part of a larger funding round that values the startup at approximately $5 billion. The partnership focuses on integrating World Labs' spatial AI world models — capable of generating and reasoning about immersive 3D environments — with Autodesk's CAD and design tools. Initial collaboration will target media and entertainment use cases, such as combining world-model-based environment sketches with Autodesk's precision design capabilities. Autodesk is also developing its own 'neural CAD' generative AI trained on geometric data, and sees world models as a complementary layer for more holistic spatial intelligence across architecture, engineering, and manufacturing workflows.
