Tailscale's workload identity federation is now generally available, enabling CI/CD pipelines and cloud workloads to authenticate using short-lived OIDC tokens instead of static API keys or secrets. New additions include full CRUD support via the Tailscale API, Terraform provider integration for managing federated identities as IaC, automatic cloud token discovery via a new `--audience` flag on `tailscale up`, Go tsnet library support for credential-free authentication, and beta support for the Kubernetes operator. These features collectively allow teams to connect GitHub runners, AWS services, GCP workloads, and Kubernetes clusters to a tailnet without ever storing long-lived credentials.
