WordPress has launched my.WordPress.net, a browser-based service powered by WordPress Playground that lets users run a private WordPress site without signing up, hosting, or a domain. Sites are stored in the browser's local storage, making them private by default and inaccessible from other devices or the public internet. The service positions WordPress as a personal workspace for writing, journaling, research, and building personal tools. An App Catalog offers plugins like a Personal CRM, RSS Reader, bookmarking tool, and AI Workspace. An integrated AI assistant can modify plugins or query stored data, turning the setup into a personal knowledge base. Storage starts at ~100 MB, and users can migrate to a dedicated host if they want to go public.
