Chrome's Built-in AI Challenge 2025 received over 1,300 submissions from 14,000+ registered developers who built web apps and extensions using Gemini Nano and Chrome's AI APIs. Winners were selected across categories including most helpful applications (Nutshell for hands-free browsing, AAC Board AI for communication assistance), best multimodal AI (Phonaify for pronunciation feedback, Pet Shelter App), and best hybrid AI implementations (Mentelo extension, Trail offline companion). The challenge showcased practical applications addressing real-world needs like accessibility, education, and offline functionality using Chrome's Prompt API, multimodal capabilities, and hybrid AI strategies.
