Microsoft's Windows Insider Program lead shares a progress update on quality improvements shipped since March 2026. Key changes include a restructured Insider Program with two channels (Experimental and Beta), reduced Windows Update disruptions via consolidated monthly restarts, removal of Copilot buttons from Snipping Tool and Photos, File Explorer performance and stability improvements, calmer Widgets and Discover feed defaults, and system-wide memory and responsiveness optimizations including scheduler improvements.
