<p>Great post, I really enjoyed the video by Dave Farley on the common excuses software developers make for not implementing continuous integration, continuous delivery, and test-driven development. Farley presents a compelling argument for why these methodologies work better and debunks common excuses such as “you can’t do serious work without feature branching” and “writing tests is a waste of time”. He also touches on the importance of taking responsibility for our own development practices and not passing the buck to our managers. I look forward to more videos in the series on the YouTube channel of GOTO conferences.</p>


<p>Problem why Code sucks.  Over Engineering.  There is so many tools and technologies today that companies don’t want to invest in that make code lean and mean.  They keep hiring more people then firing because they can scale a system due to over engineered code.</p>
