The C programming language, despite being developed in 1972, remains a cornerstone in software development due to its performance, bare-metal compatibility, and widespread use. Why the C programming language still rules

If you use C++ like C and limit it’s bloated std:: it is really nice system with many (nearly) 0 cost abstractions.
I do not understand the hate but I wish there was better C++ that abolishes old header system and streamlines build process.
Lets hope for Zig++ ;)
