<p>Let’s kill the fantasy upfront: you will have technical debt. It’s not a moral failing. It’s a reality of product building.</p>
<p>You trade long-term stability for short-term velocity. Sometimes, that’s the right call. More often, it’s a blind bet with no plan to pay it back.</p>

<p>As a founder, PM, or lead, your job is to balance the urge to ship now with the discipline to safeguard your future. Most startups crash not because they ran out of ideas but because they ran out of runway under the weight of their own messy product.</p>
