Using Linux, beginners can benefit from the same tools and environment that professionals use.

Why Linux Is the Best Place to Learn Coding

Windows has a huge number of free tools as well. Everyone on my team uses Windows for our project. Beginners should absolutely use whatever OS they are already familiar with to reduce the number of new things they’re learning at a time. You do not need to use Linux or any other fancy smancy OS to be a software engineer.

Any OS is great for learning on, but Linux forces you to solve problems in ways similar to the problems that you will be trying to solve while programming. A lot of my initial struggle was learning to really to understand the way a computer actually functions and works in order to get them to really do what I wanted. Linux reinforces the learning of this by having its editable process and setting scripts all within a navigable file structure, often forcing the user to make changes to one of these files to everything functioning properly.

Totally agree. There is always something annoying in Linux ecosystem to improve 🤣🤣🤣
