Software engineers are not in immediate danger of being replaced by AI despite the hype. The real issue lies in the lack of understanding between engineers and their non-technical colleagues. Engineers need to focus on communicating effectively and helping coworkers understand the complexities of software development. By adopting a problem-solving mindset and engaging more with users, engineers can demonstrate their true value to the business.

Why is everyone trying to replace Software Engineers?

Because people cost money, and businesses no longer care to serve their employees, communities, or even their customers. They operate solely for max profitability in service of their owners, to the detriment of the wider society. Welcome to the future.

Software developer are not in “immediate” danger. However you cannot ignore the rapid pace of AI coding capabilities and assume the industry and software development market will remain how it is, that would be incredibly foolish.

Fuck business. Im professional, just tell me what you want to acheive and i will tell you what i need to get it done and then i just do the work. Then its completed, and i get my money. Simple as fuck.

Why? We’re expensive pain in the butts.

Because …

<li>some of them feel special or victims and complain way too much while delivering way too little</li>
<li>some of them behave like entitled divas while skills are average at best</li>
<li>some of them are brilliant rock-stars that never get sh*t done because almost everything is beneath their effort and skill set</li>
<li>some of them behave like they are artists and presume to know the intentions of the business</li>
<li>some of them cover their heads with the holy hoodie and communicate with silence, nods, grunts, hums, nerdspeak and other incompatible ways with the outside world</li>
<li>all cost money to train, grow and keep (at least content, dare not say happy)</li>
<li>all have moods and break down from sickness and I heard even burnout (despite some times considered not human or weirdly alien)</li>
