That is really it.

agree. But I feel like most people that claim it has improved their productivity by 10x just use it as a helper. I ask it lots of questions when I’m in the design fase. Most of the time I’ve got my own ideas on how to do something, but then use the LLM to give me some quick examples of my solution and different solutions. I can make a way better informed design choice that way, which results in faster iteration and better code. I’m constantly at the steering wheel; the LLM just helps me drive faster.

LLM’s makes managers feel that they are a 10x developers.
Then reality strikes when someone else have to use their application.

The reason is that, the company behind LLM market it before it was ready. Many of them just published their LLM/product/services when they found out that OpenAI’s ChatGPT momentum is unstoppable. Looks like we are going back to the mistake taken by IBM Watson’s team back in 2013.

I pretty much outsourced all my .py and .bash scripts to Claude.
Btw. Even new OpenAI model is nothing compered to Claude.
