The graph is useful as a reader of files across folders. If you have an extremely structured vault {i mean extremely structured} its use will automatically be obvious.
That said taking notes in context is better as a workflow optimisation strategy.
If you want to find ideas from an unstructured point of view the graph comes in handy. If you are stuck viewing your file set outside of structure is especially useful.
How extremely structured works is that the structure by itself is a note which is permanent. Planning how you want files to go and be ordered around folders is a task.
