When you stay at a job that you’d rather quit only for the money, it's the riskiest choice of all. Netflix’s transparency around all of its product decisions was one of the best perks of working there. It contrasts with the more secretive culture at Apple and Amazon.

Also, speaking from a European perspective, those salaries are completely insane.

I’ll be honest, at 450k I’d just power through for as long as they keep me. After a few years of that you (should!) have enough savings to do whatever you want anyway.

Refreshing to go through a story like this that actually sounds like a personal reflection after enough time from the event, and not a coach telling you to quit your job and buy some class.
This is a privileged man dealing with real issues that happen to be at the top end of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow's_hierarchy_of_needs" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Maslow’s pyramid</a>. It would be really nice to look for more actionable and broadly applicable answers to self-realization that just working for yourself. MAANG clearly don’t have this answer.
