Dev.to is a community platform for developers, offering resources, discussions, and networking opportunities to empower individuals in their coding journey. Developers can learn new programming languages, frameworks, and tools, engage in discussions on best practices, and share their experiences with fellow developers to enhance their skills and grow their professional network.

In January 2018, I landed a job as a software engineer at a small company that had a frontend solution for their clients that was built with Angular. After one and a half year at this company, I noticed a trend in full-stack developers being eagerly employed by mid to large companies. So I decided to deepen my knowledge in C#/.NET in my spare time by creating leisure projects and learning online. In total I had three job application interviews that, almost predictable, all rejected me.

<p>I really like the story. This also shows that it is very important for companies to think about and specify their requirements before posting a new position. Otherwise this can create frustrating interviews for both parties.</p>
