The article is a load of nonsense and rehashes with the sole intention of inflammation. It ignores Firefoxes important position and the fact that it’s running against what is shaping up to be the biggest monopolistic power ever.
Sure. Mistakes were made and there’s no excuse for the CEO salary. But blaming the work of a huge team (that did an amazing job) on the mismanagement is a high standard that Chrome et al. Don’t pass by a mile.
Firefox is flawed but it’s the best option we have. Mozilla is moving the web in a better direction e.g. WASM etc. rose from Mozilla in the “bad years”. We have them to thank for Rust and so many other things. It very much doesn’t deserve terrible people like the author who is attacking a project to get “internet points”.

Fairly uninspiring writeup. Despite a heavily opinionated title, the only judgment rendered in the piece is that the executives are paid too much. To me, it’s not a convincing argument that the entire company deserves to die because the execs are overpaid.

Clicked on this one because of the headline. Left the article angier because the company misteps were outside the Firefox project, just like if Google Chrome was being slighted over the dozens of failed Google projects.
