Why Every New Developer Should Start a Blog (And How to Do It for Free)

This blog idea has been showing up in my feed everywhere. I’ve been writing in my Notion at the end of the day, just a few things about how I felt after learning something new or looking at it in a new perspective. For now it’s more like a place where I can just dump my feelings and sometimes pieces of code. But lately I discovered Bear Blog and I will be trying that one from now on. The free version doesn’t allow comments or followers, and for me that will be a good thing, my fear comes from this unrealistic idea that my blog must teach something to the world and I cannot say anything dumb (even though I’m learning).
Hopefully more people will start too, I would love to read other’s journey on coding 🙌🏻

Funny to read this one. Walking around with the idea of starting a (simple) blog for… well, months now to be honest. But indeed don’t have a clue what to write about. Perhaps this article helps me get started…

I’d suggest astro + cloudflare pages or github pages instead of jekyll. If your block ever needs a reactive part (such as a mobile menu, a newsletter signup etc) you will be very happy to have picked Astro
