Most of the people on Linkedin are showoff retards. Their posts are like

This is ridiculous and needs to be stopped.

LinkedIn is just a facebook for proffesionals where they can flex on each other :D there are some info-gypsies that sell their “knowledge” to other people but it’s literally available on the internet for free 😒

Linkedin is the ‘professional’ version of social media which accommodates the incessant need for external validation that many people unfortunately seek.
Also, as a programmer or whatever, you can just build your own site that highlights your skills. If you’re concerned about network, then create a testimonials page on your own site. Now, someone can find you, see your skills - view them in action via projects and see whatever references you want to give. Literally no reason to even use linkedin if you don’t want to.
