Last week I had to let a side project domain expire! AMA! 😁

Serial side-project-builder here… it’s been helpful to explore my interests, and to test out potential business ideas. Most haven’t stuck, but a few have.
For folks coming up in the industry, it can be a helpful way to get your feet wet and build a portfolio of work you can share with the world as well. A handy complement to OSS work!

I used to always abandon my side projects. I’ve overcome that by using a planner and meticulously plotting what I need to get done. This has the added bonus of allowing me to step away for a few days and come back and actually remember wtf I was doing. Whereas beforehand I’d sit down and my eyes would glaze over … and I’d start a new project. 😅
