A real-world account of migrating a large Angular CLI project to Nx monorepo. The team faced challenges with code sharing, long build times, refactoring difficulty, and code ownership. They split the codebase into 250+ libraries using wildcard tsconfig paths instead of secondary entrypoints, incrementally resolved circular dependencies, wrote custom builders and generators, and achieved smaller bundles, clearer code ownership via CODEOWNERS, and custom ESLint rules.
