Why AI’s Biggest Bottleneck Isn’t Intelligence, It’s Orchestration

Enterprise AI adoption is being held back not by model capability but by inadequate orchestration infrastructure. A fourth generation is emerging — the enterprise control plane — modeled after Kubernetes, offering universal, declarative, hybrid-native, and lock-in-free coordination across data pipelines, infrastructure, business processes, and agentic AI. Agentic AI systems fail not because agents are weak but because no coordination layer can reliably track what ran, what failed, and what comes next. The shift mirrors what happened with CI/CD and observability: orchestration is moving from a per-team tool to a company-wide platform.
