Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless falls short compared to Timescale in terms of performance and cost. Timescale outperforms Aurora in terms of ingestion and query performance, storage efficiency, and cost savings. Timescale is optimized for time-series workloads but is also suitable for general-purpose workloads. It provides a better alternative to Aurora for large workloads.
