Debezium's 2026 community survey results reveal strong adoption and satisfaction: 65.2% of respondents gave it a 5/5 recommendation score, 91.3% are actively using it in production, and 63.8% run it on Kubernetes. PostgreSQL leads connector usage at 69.6%, followed by MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle. Key pain points include documentation gaps (especially for managed services and troubleshooting), lack of a web UI for management, and missing capabilities like automatic incremental snapshots and better DLQ handling. The community wants time-series and vector database connectors next. In response, the team is investing in the Debezium Platform UI, OpenTelemetry-based monitoring, new connectors for Milvus, Qdrant, SQLite, and Elasticsearch, and improved documentation.
