Hi, community! We are your newly appointed Community Managers. We’ve begun the initial transitional work behind the scenes, and we look forward to seeing more of you all in the very near future (KubeCon EU, anyone?). With great power comes great responsibility, and we want to hear from you as we look into expanding both the project and the community.
In the meantime, we wanted to (re-)introduce ourselves, and invite you to connect with us! Feel free to find us over on CNCF’s Slack; for now, you can ping us directly in #opentelemetry (we’re working on creating one single @ so you can easily reach all of us).

OpenTelemetry's platform is an observability framework, offering insights into distributed tracing, metrics collection, and log management for cloud-native applications. Through documentation, tutorials, and community contributions, OpenTelemetry provides insights into instrumenting applications to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues. Developers and DevOps teams can learn about distributed tracing standards, telemetry data formats, and integration with observability tools to gain visibility into complex distributed systems.

OpenTelemetry has appointed three new Community Managers: Reese Lee, Adriana Villela, and Julia Furst Morgado. All three have deep roots in the OTel and CNCF ecosystems, having contributed to docs, co-chaired the End-User SIG, spoken at KubeCon events, and organized community meetups. They introduce themselves, share their personal journeys into cloud native and open source, and invite the community to connect with them on CNCF Slack. They signal upcoming engagement at KubeCon EU and a focus on growing both the project and its community.
