InfluxDB 3.8 introduces Linux service management with systemd and SysV support for easier deployment, a beta Helm chart for Kubernetes Enterprise deployments, and Custom Instructions for Ask AI in Explorer 1.6. The release focuses on operational maturity with improvements to write buffering, query handling for sparse datasets, and enhanced internal metrics for monitoring ingestion and storage activity. Core remains open source while Enterprise adds clustering and security features.
