Gutenberg 22.7 introduces a new Connectors admin screen and API (experimental) for managing external service integrations like OpenAI, style variation transform previews in the editor, improved Grid block Visualizer responsiveness, and a WaveForm Player visualizer for the Playlist block. Real-Time Collaboration (RTC) is now enabled by default. Other highlights include experimental Content Guidelines REST API and custom post type, phpMyAdmin support in wp-env, custom CSS selector support in block.json for Global Styles, and media library image loading optimizations. The release also includes numerous bug fixes across block library, DataViews, collaboration, and components.
