Fedora Linux 44 brings several updates to its Atomic Desktop variants (Silverblue, Kinoite, Sway Atomic, Budgie Atomic, and COSMIC Atomic). Key changes across all variants include a moved issue tracker to the new Fedora forge, unified documentation, removal of FUSE version 2 libraries (affecting some AppImages and Plasma Vault backends), and dropping legacy pkla Polkit rules. Silverblue ships with GNOME 50, Kinoite includes KDE Plasma 6.6 with a new Plasma Login Manager replacing SDDM and an OEM-style first-boot setup. Budgie Atomic gains Wayland support with Budgie 10.10.2, and COSMIC Atomic reaches stable with version 1.0.8. Looking ahead, sealed bootable container images are ready for testing and a roadmap toward full Bootable Container support is underway.
